Submersible Axial Flow Pump

QZ/QH Submersible Axial Flow Pumps are submersible type of pumps which are especially designed for large flow rate and relatively low head applications. The submersible axial flow pumps have quite different working principle compared to centrifugal pumps, they utilize the propeller like impeller to move the water parallelly along the pumps shaft to the pump discharge nozzle. With the feature of submersible ability, the complete axial flow pump including motor can be fully immersed into the water being pumped during the operation of pump unit. This unique design is able to efficiently remove the heat generated by the motor during the operation, it also does not require the long pump shaft compared to vertical submerged pump. Furthermore, the submersible axial flow pumps have no restriction of self-priming depth compared to self-priming pumps which must be installed on the ground. Therefore, they are the ideal pumping devices for intaking water from deep tanks, pits, wells...

  • Performance

The submersible axial flow pumps have wide performance ranges which covers most of the applications where those pumps can be used, below are the main parameters of those pumps.

■ Flow Rate:

The most important parameter of the submersible axial flow pumps is the flow rate, which features for large volume. Their flow rate typically ranges from 500 m3/hr to 38000 m3/hr.

■ Head:

Compared to large volume flow rate, the submersible axial flow pumps have distinguishing feature of low discharge head. The head value of those axial flow pumps often ranges from 1.5 to 20 meters

■ Motor Power:

Due to the feature of large volume capacity, the submersible axial flow pumps are normally coupled with big power electric motors which range from 18.5 kW to 1120 kW.

■ Pump Speed:

Due to the wide performance range of submersible axial flow pumps, the pump speed range covers 295 RPM to 1450 RPM with 50Hz motors.

■ Pump Efficiency:

Due to the optimized hydraulic designs, the submersible axial flow pumps have an advantage of high efficiency which ranges from 75% to 90%. It is recommended to operate those pumps at or near the best efficiency point to avoid the vibration or even cavitation.

■ Impeller Diameter:

The diameter of the propeller like impeller is an important parameter of submersible axial flow pumps, as it directly affect the pump flow rate. The diameter of impellers ranges from DN350 to DN1600.
