The Vertical Axial Flow Pumps are the ideal pumping device for the applications of big flow rate and relatively low discharge pressure. Compared to horizonal type, the vertical design minimizes footprint a lot by fully immersing the pump casing into the fluid in the tanks or sumps. Therefore, the Vertical Axial Flow Pump is suiable for places where the space is restricted. Those pumps have advantages like space-saving, robust pump construction and optimized hydraulic models. Due to the vertical structure design, it simplifies the daily maintenance of both pump and electric motor, making those veritcal axial flow pumps the cost-saving and pratical solution for heavy duty and large volume applications. The Vertical Axial Flow Pumps can be used in various application, and base on the different requirements, we developed a wide performance range as follows:
■ Flow rate: Q=300~38,000 (m³/h)

■ Fluid temperature: T= 0~150℃
■ Fluid s.g.: γ≤1.4
■ Vertical Space-Saving:
The vertical axial flow pump and motor are vertically installed and the pump casing is submerged in the fluid source. This vertical design significantly minimizes the required floor space and footprint compared to horizontal axial flow pumps, and thus it is quite suitable for sumps, pits, tanks and other similar scenarios.
■ High-Flow & Low-Head:
The vertical axial pumps are designed and built to deliver large amount of liquid efficiently with big flow rate and low discharge pressure, thus they are ideal for applications where require the big flow rate while lifing the liquid with low height.
■ Robust Construction:
Those vertical axial flow pumps are mainly designed for continuous, heavy duty or even corrosive applications, therefore they are always made from stainless steels, Titanium, Hastelloy to handle the fluids including river water, chemical fluids or slightly abrasive liquids.
■ Optimized Axial Flow Path:
The propeller of the vertical axial flow pump leads the liquid axially upwards to the pump shaft, creating a straight through flow to the pump discharge nozzle. With the guide vane assembled behind the propeller, the turbulence in the pump column can be reduced a lot, meanwhile the hydraulic losses can be sharply minimized, this highly increases the pump efficienly and reduces the power consumption of such vertical pumps.
■ Easy Installation & Maintenance:
Due to the vertical design, the installation of vertical axial flow pumps are much easier than horizontal models, as there is few requirements for complex base plate and concrete foundation.
■ Smooth & Reliable Operation:
Thanks to the low speed design of vertical axial flow pumps, those vertical pumps are able to work smoothly while requiring few maintenances.
■ The propeller and pump casing of the vertical axial flow pump are fully submerged in the liquid, while the pump discharge and motor are installed on the base plate. The weight of the pump set is born by the pump foundation, and the axial force can be either born by the pump or the thrust bearings of the electric motor.
■ There are two structural configurations of vertical axial flow pumps, single foundation and double foundation. The single foundation vertical axial flow pump requires only one foundation, while the double foundation type needs one foundation for the pump and another foundation for the motor.

The vertical axial flow pumps are designed for salt plants, seawater desalination plants and chemical plants where require the large flow rate and low discharge head. Those pumps can be customized with various materials including duplex stainless steels, Titanium or even higher grade materials to handle corrosive fluids like brines, acids, alkali. There are wear-resistant materials like high chrome alloy for fluids containing more particles or sands, making the vertical axial flow pumps ideal as the anti-abrasive pumping solutions.
